When you have a good man like Larry Kissell on the same list?  Someone that rarely comes out of his gated community or someone that teaches your kids in the same school he graduated from!

No Brainer IMHO!

Go Larry!!!!

NC GOP House of Cards is falling.  They are getting desperate.  Now in NC-11 Taylor Breaks Debate Rules. Shuler Protests

Too bad no "50 state strategy" in NC (3.00 / 1)

I just sent in my absentee ballot (Express Mail, because it took longer to arrive than I expected). I'm a new voter in the state, and spend much of my time out of state (hence the absentee). Even though the NC GOP is free falling, I still had very few Dems to vote for.  Uncontested house race (82nd), Senate race with a former Libertarian running as a Dem. (Mike Helms)  He got my vote, reluctantly, although he does have good ideas about rainwater collection instead of river basin transfer. As a Libertarian, I'm unsure how he's going to get government to handle/require rainwater collection.  Other Senate district races in the county are uncontested with GOP incumbents.  This in the county that has lost many textile jobs and appears to be supporting Larry Kissell.  Oh well, maybe next time the Dems will work harder.

Oh, and a crazy soil and water district election.  A libertarian incumbent.  An openly gay republican, who was beaten by the libertarian last time, and someone else.

How is John McCain different than John Edwards?

Re: Too bad no "50 state strategy" in NC (none / 0)

More than half the 170 seats in the NC General Assembly are uncontested this year by one party or the other, including 30+ unopposed Republicans in the 120-seat House.  NC desperately needs a 100-county strategy to contest every seat.

Re: Too bad no "50 state strategy" in NC (none / 0)

Too much control concentrated in Jim Black who has been a corrosive influence.  His actions may have been expedient in control of the House but didn't achieve much of anything progressive and has alienated the Dem grassroots.  Instead of a 100 county strategy he bet on a few Republicans

Jerry Meek has proven himself this year and if Dan Blue becomes NC House Speaker we can look forward to a 100 county strategy in 2008 with grassroots support.

The mill owner or the mill worker?

Robin Hayes cast the deciding vote for CAFTA. In that district, that alone should be enough for the voters to send him packing. Charles Taylor didn't even bother to vote.

Kissell wins. Shuler wins. +2 Dem in NC.

Imagine how that blogger must feel (3.00 / 1)

She must feel...so..so..violated!

Heh heh

I might post the entire post tomorrow.  It spent too much time being reviewed by my attorney today to go up any earlier.

Re: Imagine how that blogger must feel (none / 0)

Please do.  Robin Hayes thinks being a Congressman means he gets to strut and stomp all over other peoples rights, their copyrights and, their textile jobs.
